THE 2024 PRE- AGM Training and The Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Forum

The Tanzania International Arbitration Centre (TIAC) is delighted to inform you all, that we will be participating during the 2024 Tanganyika Law Society  Annual Conference by conducting a three days physical and online training titled “The art of good negotiation: essential Practical legal skills for every Lawyer” that will be held from 29th to 31st July 202 in Dodoma. The aim of this training is to equip the  ADR practitioners with the best knowledge and skills possible, leading to improved standards of ADR practice. The best ADR practitioners with a renowned level of expertise are expected to facilitate the training and impart knowledge to the training participants.

Apart from the training, TIAC will be conducting The Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Forum themed “The Role of (ADR) in Access to Justice for Economic growth: Realizing the Full Potential of ADR in Promoting Access to Justice and Fostering Economic Growth” that will be held on 31st July 2024 from 18:30 pm to 22:00 pm, in Dodoma.

The Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Forum is a valuable platform established by TIAC for the purpose of fostering a vibrant ADR community and contributing to the professional growth of practitioners in Tanzania. The forum is a proactive initiative promoting international best practices for building a robust ADR community.

Session A: PRE AGM Training

Date : 29th – 31st  July 2024

Fee :  Online – TZS. 350,000/=

          Physical  – TZS. 700,000/=

The  training and the ADR Forum is open to lawyers and other professionals.

Our Model Arbitration Clause

Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of, relating to or in connection with this contract, including any question regarding its existence, validity or termination, shall be resolved by arbitration in accordance with the TANZANIA INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION CENTRE (TIAC) Arbitration Rules. The seat of arbitration shall be Dar es Salaam, Tanzania [or choose another city]. The language of the arbitration shall be English [or choose another language]. The number of arbitrators shall be one [or three, or delete this sentence and rely on Article 8 of the TANZANIA INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION CENTRE (TIAC) Arbitration Rules]”.

 

Postponement of The Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Forum

Dear Valued One,

Kindly be informed that,  The Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Forum themed “The Role of (ADR) in Access to Justice for Economic growth: Realizing the Full Potential of ADR in Promoting Access to Justice and Fostering Economic Growth”   that was scheduled to take place on 21st   June 2024 in Arusha has been postponed until further notice.

This goes with the two training sessions titled: “The art of good negotiation: essential Practical legal skills for every Lawyer” and  “Plea Bargaining as an ADR Mechanism in the Criminal Justice system” which was scheduled to take place concurrently from 18th to 20th June 2024, and The Tourism Safari that was scheduled on 22nd June 2024.

However, For those who paid for the training and Forum,  be rest assured that your registration and payment  remains valid and we will  kindly inform you of the next steps.
