The Tanzania International Arbitration Centre in collaboration with  ADROIT / KQI  Professional Alliance (India) is organizing an ADR session  titled Dispute Avoidance and Mitigation Strategies  – International Perspectives”, emphasizing on Lessons learnt from International Construction Arbitration cases on the dispute mitigation/avoidance strategies.

The session aims at enhancing the practical experience by equipping  participants with practical knowledge and insights from international construction arbitration cases, focusing on effective dispute avoidance and mitigation strategies, and exploring how these lessons can be applied to improve contractual relationships, reduce project risks, and enhance dispute management in construction projects.

The Tanzania International Arbitration Centre is organizing a four-day training program titled Assessment of Damages and Managing of Evidence in Arbitration. Scheduled to take place from 09th to 12th September 2025 in Morogoro.

The training aims to equip participants with practical skills and knowledge necessary for accurate assessment of damages and strategic handling of evidence in arbitration, ensuring sound decision-making and strengthening trust in the arbitral process.

APPOINTMENT OF AN ACTING SECRETARY GENERAL

The Board of Directors of the Tanzania International Arbitration Centre (TIAC) wishes to inform the public, stakeholders, and partners that, effective from 16th July 2025, Ms. Magreth Richard Magoma has been appointed as the Acting Secretary General of TIAC.

Ms. Magoma assumes this role following a vacancy in the position of Secretary General and will serve in an acting capacity until a substantive appointment is made or until otherwise determined by the Board. She brings to the position extensive experience in legal practice, institutional management, and alternative dispute resolution, and is well-positioned to lead the Secretariat during this transitional period.

TIAC remains committed to providing efficient, neutral, and professional arbitration and ADR services in Tanzania and beyond. The appointment of an Acting Secretary General ensures the continued delivery of our services and the Centre’s operational stability.
